Your Personal Development Plan Starts Here...
A development plan starts with setting your goals!
- That's
what Alicia Forest says, anyway, and I summarise her wisdom in the second video below.
- Discover how setting goals in different aspects of your life - family, social, spiritual, physical and intellectual - with a bit of brainstorming and personal honesty can result in clear goals for each year of your life...
Goals that will deliver what you expect and deserve from life. Sounds like such a plan might actually be a good thing to do... You go first, eh! And then...
- Find links to templates, samples or examples of development plans
- I share my own plan, too - it's a bit simple, but never mind...
Your Personal Development Plan
What I say...
I like how Alicia explains how to create your very own plan: she offers a step-by step approach to coming up with an example plan, that includes brainstorming! And I might even go about doing it, one day. Right now though (at time of updating this page - December 15th, 2011) I've decided on the following plan for myself:
- BE self-reliant - ACT on my accumulated wisdom so far, and eschew (don't bother with) any new self-help learning
And how do I DO self-reliance then?
Well, I will make sure I do the following, that's how:
- Meditate, exercise and rest often (helps self-awareness)
- Look to my intuition more, when it comes to actions
- Trust myself more, and let go of the need to control
All of the above will be done using the vague plans I currently have to focus my energies on actively helping others on a hands-on basis (rather than just remotely, via this website).
I will trust that what needs to be done will become known to me and I will trust that I WILL ACT accordingly...
NOTES:
- Meditation does not necessarily need to be studied but if you have no idea about how to implement this powerful, healing and self-loving process (or just want to be encouraged to meditate more) then I can recommend you visit SecretsOfMeditation.com
- Intuition can be a powerful driving force in your life as explained on this self improvement ideas page called Trusting Your Gut
How about you? Do you have your own development plan, or have you come to this page looking for ideas? Do let us know!
And, finally (for now), I think
we could all do a lot worse than following the personal development plan shown
in this video below. What fantastic attitudes to life we would then have...
